Perspective
Reflecting the artist’s perspective and putting myself out of the equation is my philosophy as a recording, mix and Mastering engineer. I believe it’s not about what I like or what I prefer to hear, rather my focus is on capturing the sound as close as possible to what the human ear hears. By communicating closely with the artists I work with, I try to connect with their vision.
As a performer, composer, and instrumentalist, my best sounding performances happen when I am connected to the moment. For some artists, their best sound happens in unconventional settings – singing in the shower, playing in a stairway, or within their daily practice spaces.
So, my musician thoughts influenced my Engineering mind, motivated me to create two sets of portable studio setups so I can capture the artist's best sound at anytime and anywhere.
